Conventions, Teacher Workshops and Special Events

NYC Pulse and Teacher Workshop-This five day accredited teacher workshop is held in New York City every summer and hosted by The Broadway Dance Center. Master classes are taught by dance masters, Broadway dancers and the faculty of “So You Think You Can Dance”. This year Carla, Erica, Tammy, Marie, Janine and Kristin participated in this event.

Jump

Jump is a year-long tour produced by Break the Floor productions which include a two-day dance workshop and competition. An amazing faculty, live singers, a rock band, a multi-media stage and video crew are just a few of the things that make JUMP the best dance convention in the world! This year Shanda, Erica, Tammy and Marie of the CDF faculty attended. Many of our students attended not only the convention , but competed their solo as well. Emily Bradberry was awarded a tap scholarship for her “fabulous feet”.

Nuvo

Is a new dance convention on the circuit that has a diverse faculty, including Broadway stars, music video dancers and choreographers. The event is narrated by a live DJ who plays throughout the event and workshop. Nuvo has already created a buzz in the dance industry for its innovative and visionary style of workshop not only for the teacher, but the student as well”
