This tap, ballet, and jazz combination class is taught at two levels: beginner and intermediate. In Level I all of the basic terminology is introduced in each discipline, as well as: stretching, flexibility, movement, core training, leaps, and turns.
In jazz: ballet barre, combinations and patterns, lines and balance.
In tap an emphasis is placed on heel work, alternate foot patterning, and timesteps.
Apprentice Classes and Apprentice Combination classes are divided into age appropriate groups based on ability and previous dance experience. (Ages 7 and up) These intermediate students take tap, ballet, jazz and technique.
Some students that are working towards becoming a member of the CDF Performing Company may elect to take additional ballet, lyrical and technique classes.
Evening classes are available. (One-and-a-half-hour to 3 hour classes)
