Tammy rejoined the Carla’s Dance Factory teaching staff nine years ago after taking a sabbatical from dance to have her daughter Kayla. She has studied extensively during her tenure as a dancer in New York City at the Broadway Dance Center and at various dance camps, and summer workshops. Tammy excels at tap, jazz, and lyrical making her a well rounded addition to the teaching staff. But her one true love has become Hip Hop.
Tammy is our “funky and get down teacher”. She has developed a Christian Hip Hop Program at the studio sharing her passion for dance and Christ. This program incorporates age appropriate Christian Hip Hop music that allows her to choreograph freely. Rest assured that all of her Hip Hop music is upbeat and clean.
She enjoys teaching all ages but loves her time with the adult dance program. Tammy teaches adult lyrical, jazz , hip hop and clogging. Tammy is very active in liturgical dance. She choreographs and performs in several Christmas and Easter programs. Additionally, Tammy rehearses a teenage group at the church that performs lyrical dances throughout the year for their worship services. She always joins our summer dance trips to NYC. This year she will attend Jump and the Pulse and Teacher Workshop.
