
Miss Verline has taught for Carla’s Dance Factory for the past eighteen years. She is the director of the Pre-School Children’s dance program, the Princess and Barbie programs summer dance camps. Additionally, she is the schools’ coordinator of all the recital music narrations. Verline’s dance experience includes her training and tutorage under the direction of the late Pittman Corey, co-founder and director of the Southern Dance and Ballet Company. Miss Verline was associated with professional dance companies such as the Pittman Cory Dance Company and the College Park Dance Company. She has performed at various studios, at civic, private and service clubs in the Atlanta area, the South Fulton Little Theatre and at the Southeastern State Fair.
With a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, Verline is a tremendous asset to Carla’s Dance Factory. She provides her experience with preschool dance education, and her organizational skills to facilitate the management of her classroom and summer camps. She exhibits a true love for children and for dance. Don’t be fooled by her booming voice and loud voice commands, she is a real sweetie and a true friend.
Verline is married to John King and has a daughter named Nina, who is a professional educator with a Masters Degree in Spanish. They are her other two loves! Oops and don’t forget the soon to be newest member of her family a tiny baby "Party" poodle.
