Vicki joins the staff at Carla’s this year for her fourth season. She began her dancing career at the studio in 1988 and competed with the company classes until 2001. Company highlights include winning numerous awards at various regional competitions including a first place overall trophy for the tap number, Bugle Boy.
Vicki danced with the Fayette County High School dance team and served as the Captain her senior year. The group danced at various school and philanthropic functions and competed at regional and national competitions. The team placed at EDA Nationals with a jazz and pom routine. Additionally, Vicki performed in Super Bowl XXIV with performers Travis Tritt and Tina Turner.
While at the University of Georgia she danced with the Red Hotz Competitive Dance team and served as the captain for her last two seasons. In 2006, the team placed 2nd in the nation and received the best choreography at NDA Nationals. In addition to NDA Nationals, the team also competed at local Jingle Jam and Showstopper competitions. Vicki was also instrumental in starting the Red Hotz Invitational, a competition for middle school and high school students held before the State Competition. The competition more than quadrupled in attendance the year she was in charge of the event. Also at UGA, Vicki performed with the UGA Tap Dawgs at Dance Athens and other various campus venues under the direction of Lindsay Thiel.
After graduating with a MA and BBA from UGA, Vicki served as the coach of the Union Grove High School dance team where the team placed 9th at the state competition with her pom routine. She has served as a judge for the McIntosh High School auditions and at the UGA Red Hotz Invitational.
Most recently, Vicki has continued her training at Dance 101 in Atlanta and tapped in their "TransforMotion" show in 2008 and in "Incarnation" in 2009 both at the Alliance Theater.
In addition to dancing, Vicki works at the ALS Association of Georgia (a non-profit serving patients with Lou Gehrig’s Disease) as the their Events and Marketing Coordinator.
