Raegan Barnhill

Raegan began her serious ballet training with The Georgia Youth Ballet in 1998 under the direction of Magdalena Maury and Jonsie Pollock where she studied classical ballet, modern and jazz. It was with this company where she learned a strong foundation in quality technique.

She has danced in many of their Nutcracker performances and traveled with them to multiple SERBA (South Eastern Regional Ballet Association) conventions.

Raegan has also danced exerts and variations from other various ballets including Don Quoxite, Paquita, Copellia, and Swan Lake. She has taken from some of the best instructors including Elie Lazar, Tom Clower, Vladimir Issaev and Finis Jhung.

Raegan has studied with The Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Austin and The Washington Ballet during their summer intensive programs. She has also spent time dancing during summers in Beijing with the Beijing Dance Academy and in New York where she took classes at The Broadway Dance Center, The Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Steps. She spent time in Austin dancing with The Verge Contemporary Company in 2002 also with The Austin Classical Ballet Company in 2003.

Raegan also performed in the celebration of the Fox’s 75th Anniversary Production in 2005. She began teaching for the Georgia Youth Ballet in 2005 and continues to enjoy teaching and choreographing to students of all ages.
