Carla’s Dance Factory was founded thirty one years ago on the belief that every child should be given the opportunity to enjoy the art of dance. By offering tiered levels of dance classes, beginner through advanced for all ages of children, teens and adults, Carla has been able to achieve her goal of delivering “something fun for everyone”. She believes that when you choose a dance school for yourself or your child, there are things that you should look for-professionalism, quality, and above all experience. Without hesitation, she states that “Not all children are born to become professional dancers, but with enough personalized attention, encouragement, and a basic comprehension of the techniques being taught, each individual student can expand their abilities and achieve their personal level of capabilities. And that is what a positive dance experience is all about.
By teaching dance in a nurturing environment and mentoring students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how great or small, each child develops not only as a dancer and performer but becomes confident of who they are and what they represent. Atmosphere is everything! At Carla’s Dance Factory we are in the business of transforming young children into self assured young adults.
What parent would not want that for their child?”
Carla’s Dance Factory is convenient to Peachtree City and Fayetteville located 2 miles west of Piedmont Hospital and 1 mile east of McIntosh Highschool just off Highway 54.
Our state-of-the-art dance school facility has over 6800 square feet with three studio rooms, each with high ceilings and 4 ½” spring floors. Each floor has a specialized surface appropriate to the dance class and style: Hardwood floors for tap, Marley sub-flooring a non-slip surface for jazz, ballet and lyrical, and tile for beginner dancers. We also have a dressing room, homework area & lounge, parents waiting area with a TV and VCR, conference room and our costume/wardrobe room.
All students in performing classes participate in the annual May recital. Students perform a routine in both tap and ballet.
Combination classes perform a routine in tap, ballet and jazz. All students are awarded a certificate, trophy, and program book at the end of the recital.
Hip Hop Classes perform in the recital as well.
Parent Watch Days
Parent watch days are designated days where parents and grandparents can view their child’s progress during dance class. Watch days are usually the week before Thanksgiving and a designated week in March. Cameras and video cameras are allowed in the classroom on these special days.
Watch Your Child On Camera
Each studio has a video camera that allows parents to watch their child during class on our flatscreen television. Viewing weeks are alternated with slide shows to keep parents informed of upcoming events, special workshops and deadlines.
